A wonderful gift
I was having one of those days on Monday, I was sick, I was stressed, It was a long week and it had only just started. I went to check my mail and there was a a package from two lovely gentlemen, Alan H. and Cacunn, who are now my official heroes (other than the dashing Yeti of course).

I have only had a chance to look at the first 10 pages in depth, but when I scanned through I got rather inspired to make lots of kilt hose, in many patterns and colors. So far the patterns are a wee bit old fashioned in their wording, but since the first edition was in the late seventies that is to be expected. As I progress in the book I will add more in my review, but more of all I want to extend my thanks to Alan and Cacunn for this lovely gift, it had perfect timing to cheer up a bad day.

Well done gentlemen - well done indeed!
By the way - is it ok to wear two different colored or patterned hose with your kilt... I guess I never knew...

Sounds a lot like the people who used to give away books in the 80s. Here's a free book..... would you like to join our Kilt Cult.
Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

Hope you get well soon, String, and glad for you getting a good gift.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

First of all, those full diced hose are awesome!
Second - the late seventies is "old fashioned"? What does that make me? Ack!
Andrew.
