    Wood cantle?

I've been thinking about this when I stumbled upon this.

I was thinking of a different finish or wood but this looks like a DIY dream.

    Thoughts?

As a woodcarver, i have to say that when I saw that the wheels began to turn and all sorts of possibilities came to mind.

I will let you all know if something perculates to the top and manifests its self.

I really don't like it. I do see the potential for someone with vision and talent to create a much better final product.
Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

    Indeed.

Would definitely be easier to carve your own celtic knotwork and designs into than metal. Perfect for those who like to customize. But it seems you'd have to have a slightly bulkier sporran then overall I would think, with the wood requiring thicker pieces than what metal can be?
