    XMTSAS 'Saltire' Kilt Pin

I was home on New Years Eve and it was too cold to work out in the shop. So while watching T.V. w/ the little one I started carving some wax and made a mold. The first little pewter airship came out of the mold at one minute before the new year.

They are 3.5 inches long and weigh just a tad over an ounce.

Here's a picture of the fleet.

The first one is for Panache who suggested an enamel paint job like the original.

Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

Cool! Where will you be selling them?
    .
The obscure we see eventually. The completely obvious, it seems, takes longer.

I won't be selling them. I'm planning on giving a couple as prizes for a competition when the airship returns to California. Others will just choose a new owner or be bartered away.

    Nice work, as usual.

Seems your evening was much more productive than mine.

I ended up with eight finished airships. I started out with about fourteen. Three didn't pass the initial inspection and the other three suffered an airship disaster under the soldering torch. I think I'm going to need a full count for those attanding the Palm Springs meet in April.

Here's where airships go to die.

Those are fantastic. They will be great prizes or worth the bartering!

You might want to think about sending one to each of the temporary Captains as it journeys around the world.
