shuffling some forums around

Over the next week we will be shuffling some forums around.

We currently have three DIY sections of the forum.

We would like to bring all the How to wear your kilt threads under one heading.

We would like to consolidate the Meet-ups and Kilt Night threads in one place.

And we will be looking at ways to make the forum easier to find what you are looking for.

Please be patient for a little while as we sort out these issues.

No threads or posts will be deleted. Just moved into some re-arranged categories.

We will also be introducing a new feature to the forum.
It will be a Photo of the Month.

Excellent ideas all around, but may I be so bold as to ask why not a photo of the week? we do have a TON of members who contribute a lot of very nice pics, unless of course you are meaning something different than I am thinking

It would be the time requirement more than anything else.
Some one is going to have to go through all the posted photos and choose one.
Then it needs to be OK'd by the Original Poster so there will be PM's back and forth.
Then the photo will need to be loaded.
Do you want the job?

Sounds good to me. I don't pay much attention to what sub-forum a particular post is in, but if the site will be "tidier", go for it.

What posted photos are you talking about BTW? All user photos? I wouldn;t mind that, I love looking at pictures, just making sure exactly what you mean.

How about a different photo theme for every month of the year? It might make the selection process a little easier by reducing the volume of entries. The themes could repeat every year and be related somehow to the month the photo will be featured.

Thank you! I was just saying yesterday to my husband, "I love all the new changes... I'd like to see them get rid of some of the extra sections though..."

I have 6 entire sections of this board collapsed on the main page because honestly it's all too much for me to keep track of. Condensing even some of it would really make a real difference for me, perhaps I could reopen a section or two.
