That's a great tip, thanks! I'm packing a couple of kilts to go to the National Tattoo Competition in a few weeks, and I'll want them to look good!

I am actually packing for a trip right now. and I am a little confused. Is the kilt supposed to be open or fastened what you do the rolling?

The straps are all open - the way you hang your kilt away.

I missed this one until now - the story of my life! Many thanks Robertson and Emma for promoting this way of doing things. I have been advocating this method for years - the only difference being that I additionally place a rubber-band over the rolled kilt, at the buckle end and just below the waistband, before pulling the tights over.

It has worked every time for me.
