if you're a spinner, then look into Tanel 360's. Find a pic and look at the steel cleat pattern on the underside and you'll see why. Oh, bother.....here.

Still, if I were gonna South African or full spin my stones, I'd wear whatever gripped the best on my right foot and then totally smooth discus/shotput shoe on my left foot and be damned that it looks funny. I love my knees.
VS Athletics sells a really inexpensive throwing shoe. I have a pair for discus/shot and they're a good deal...half the price of the throwing shoes from Nike or Adidas, and throwing shoes NEVER go on sale.
Also Tanel makes a super hi-top turf shoe.. That's kinda gone out of style on the football field these days but they still work for us throwers that want lots of ankle support.
