    How do you say Buccleuch

Cloves, Buccleuch is pronounced 'Buckloo'. If you want to enquire further into the Buccleuch ancestry, then search the web under Duke of Buccleuch, very interesting history.

    Cloves,

THANK YOU for asking that question. I've been wondering that for quite some time but never remembered to ask when on the site.

Thanks for the answer Julian. I thought that might be the way to pronounce it but in a nation where Chomondelay is pronounced "Chumley" who really knows?

I've asked that EXACT same question before. I've heard it pronounced the way Julian describes above and "boo - cloo" (with an accent on the latter syllable)... both ways by people in Scotland.
