Question Name the tartan, if you can...

First, I want to let you know my camera and scanner died.

There, if you are still reading this thanks.

Today my wife found a kilted skirt from Nordstrom's at the local second hand store. It has a tag saying made in Scotland for Nordstrom's. The tartan is black, black then it shifts to a black green alternating lines section, then a it is either white or a very pale yellow and black line then the green/black background then the then a red and black line, then green and black background. In words this is the best I can do at describing it. I will take it to get pictures tomorrow, or Monday and post here. If this sounds at all familiar please give me any suggestions.

    Thanks,

Hard to picture it. I'll wait for the photo. Does sound like a nice tartan though.

I went through the combination you stated on the Tartan Ferret, and two showed up but neither had it as a black background. Tartan # 313 and one of the MacMaster #822. I don't think either of these are the one you are looking for. It does kind of sound like a basic MacKenzie of Seaforth tartan # 267.

Go to www.tartansauthority.com, and check out the tartan number's i've listed, but I again I don't think they are what you are describing. Please post picture as soon as you get a chance. Thanks!
