    New Scottish Parliament Tartan

The Scottish Parliament now has its own tartan. Not a very good picture of it but it is predominantly purples and greens. And you don't have to be an MSP to wear it so another choice for Hamish I think!

No, it is different. From the Scottish Register of Tartans:

    http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar....aspx?ref=3738

Unofficial' tartan designed by Ronnie Hek of the Flavour of Scotland Company as a design to commemorate the 1998 Scottish Parliament. Sanctioned by the Scottish Tartans Society. The Scottish Tartans Authority would not have accepted this name without documentary proof that it had been accepted by the Scottish Parliament and therefore classifies it as 'Fashion' rather than 'Corporate'. Created in 1998 to celebrate the Referendum result for the re-establishment of a Scottish Parliament as well as to provide a Parliamentary livery tartan. This tartan is registered under the "1988 Design Act" Registration No: 0602797.
The new one has not yet been registered.

    Regards

    Chas

    Nice throw too!

Beautiful colors. Can't wait to get a blanket in it once available.

They need to open a shop so they can sell souvenirs in it.

Designed by a Scot named Scott from Herriot-Watt, is it not?

It looks a bit like the X-Marks tartan, but with the two blues reversed.
