    Sedona [Arizona] Tartan

New STA Newsletter lists #7704 Sedona tartan created by an unnamed Arizonan. No pic and its not on the STA tartan search site yet - but it usually takes some time after new tartans are announced to be posted on the search site.

Anyone know more about this new tartan and its background.

Not sure why "Scottsdale North" needs a tartan...but now it has one.

Wonder if there's any tie with the old Camp Verde Highland Games that are moving to Sedona for 2009....?

    Hmmmm

I'll have to poke around... but it seems one of our Arizona Rabble had something to do with this one? I know Ayin made the Sonoran Scotsmen tartan and, I believe, had it registered...

    Ron,

Why don't you drop Brian at the STA an e-mail and see what other details he might have?

The Telegraph did say it was a personal tartan.

I have not officially paid the fee for the tartan that we designed. I'm really curious to see the design to see if it's one of the ones I submitted.

Right now the Sonoran Scotsmen are busy deciding between a few designs and everyone is saving up the money to register and purchase our tartans. So as of yet, we have not gone through with it. If someone has actually registered the tartan then that'll just mean that it'll save us the cost to do it, and we should be able to get our kilts sooner. However the name wouldn't be the name that we want so that would stink, but oh well.

Let me know if you hear any more on this, or if you're able to find pics.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence though, and someone else probably decided to register one, but I guess we'll see.

    Good idea Todd, thanks.

Just don't wanna nag him. Know there's a lag between announcement in the newsletter and being available on the ferret. Just double checked and its still not up. Patience...

Don't think it would be withheld from the ferret just because its a personal tartan...guessing it would be created to market for Sedona folks.

I'm guessing that the colors for this tartan are going to be American Dollar green (& lots of it!!!) & "crystal" over a Sedona Red Rocks background.
