Universal Tartan?
I'm really liking that Weathered Stewart, Old Sett. Tartans like Royal Stewart and Black Stewart are considered "universal" no? Would the same apply to Weathered Stewart, Old Sett?

"weathered" is simply a descriptor of the vibrancy of the dyes used... it's supposed to represent a kilt that has been around a long time, from which much of the more vibrant tones have been, well, weathered. So if the base tartan is considered universal, the weathered version is, as well.

The Old Stewart tartan is not a universal tartan. It is the clan tartan for the Stewarts. The hunting Stewart tartan is a universal tartan, so that may be what you are thinking of.
