    US Civil War tartan?

I have a friend who is asking if there is a tartan to commemorate the US Civil War. Does such a tartan exist?

There is both a Federal & Confederate memorial tartans. The former was designed by a member of the Sons of Union Veterans, of which I am a member.

Thanks, Todd, I'll have to do some more searching.

Information on the Federal Memorial Tartan may be found here:

    http://www.suvmass.org/CCJan06.pdf

You will need an Adobe reader to view it; it is the newsletter of the Dept. of Mass., SUVCW.

You can also see the Federal Memorial tartan at the Scottish Tartans Authority website, its #4191

Next question is which mill weaves it? If the boys in Mass are selling neckties in the tartan some mill wove that cloth.

Frugal Corner is weave the Confederate tartan for the SCV, it should be done soon.

Here is a pic I took at the raising of the largest Confederate Battle flag 30' x 50'

The pole stands 139', this was on flag day.

Today for July fourth, we raised at 7:00 am a 30' x 20' Betsy Ross Flag

This is the future site for a civil war memorial

Here's a source for that Yankee Memorial Tartan:

More often than not, if a tartan is available it can be had through The Scotweb Kilt Store, the banner link at the top right of the page you're looking at this very instant.
