From the Tucson Irish Community website (SASS don't seem to have a site):

Quote:
The Southern Arizona Scottish Society presents its annual Burns Supper on Saturday, January 23rd, at Inn Suites, 475 N. Granada. Cocktails begin at 6, and dinner will be served at 6:45. The cost for SASS members is $35 for one, $60 for two. The cost for non-members is $45 for one, $85 for two. Ticket orders and money are due by January 20th. Tickets will be available at will call the night of the event unless you make arrangements to pick them up by calling 3230-1310 or 628-8888.

To purchase tickets, send your address, the name of each diner, and dinner choice of each diner (beef, chicken, salmon, or vegetarian), together with a check made payable to Southern Arizona Scottish Society, to: SASS, PO Box 13574, Tucson, AZ 85731.

Yikes, that's kinda steep. Well, I guess I'll be giving it a pass this year. Thanks for the info!

Those are actually pretty reasonable prices. I bet it covers the meal & entertainment.

It's perfectly reasonable for what it is. Saddly, at the moment, it's beyond my reach, which, to me, makes it kind of steep. It's less a comment on their pricing structure, and more on my limited fiscal resources.

Life happens. I've been through flush times and tight times before, and no doubt will again.

Anyway, anyone else who isn't attending the SASS evening want to get together, maybe at the Auld Dubliner, and lift a pint to the poet sometime around the 25th?

I'm not sure if we're gonna go to the dinner, but either way, we'd be up for a drink or two somewhere.

Could either do the Dubliner, or a downtown/4th Ave. pub crawl. That Saturday night'd be the best for us.

Anybody else up for a bit of a pub crawl on Saturday night? Could hit the Tap Room, Shanty, Che's, etc.

I'll have to see if I am working and what time. But I may be up for it.

Cheers
