BTW, it's kinda neat seeing the different pleat styles for the same tartan in the "Massed Bands" pic!

There were 140 pipers in the massed (mashed) bands.

Note no white kilt hose for these pipers!

They brought the bands onto the field in two groups. Someone thoughtfully separated the bands so that those with white hose were all grouped together. It was a roughly 50/50 split. The local bands have all gone to dark hose.

In this picture you can identify, from left to right, a few members of the Phoenix Pipe Band (red MacGregor). the Glendale Police Band (Black Watch), and the Mesa Caledonian Pipe Band on the right.

Excellent pics, its always interesting to view pics from another games.
I especially liked the group shot, its good to be able to match faces to usernames.
That was really nice that Mrs. RetroRed and RetroRed junior were able to join your group.
