Phoenix Arizona August 15th Concert/Kilt Night

Attention all Sonoran Scotsmen and Friends!!! The Keltic Cowboys will be playing on August 15th at the Marquee theatre with another local Irish band called The Bollocks.

The Keltic Cowboys have a song called "I won my wife in a pissing contest" and about 8 of us were in studio with them when they recorded this song on their album. In the beginning of the song we say a toast.

When we drink, we get drunk.
When we get drunk, we pass out.
When we pass out, we commit no sins.
When we commit no sins, we go to heaven.
So let's all get drunk, and go to heaven.

The Keltic Cowboys would love to have us up on stage to do this toast before this song, and to stay on stage and help with parts of the song.

This is a huge deal for the Keltic Cowboys to be able to play a show this large, it would be very awesome if we could show our support for them.

The Bollocks are also a great band here in the valley. This should be a really fun concert.

Greetings everyone. I’m not sure how many of you have plans this weekend, but there is going to be an amazing show at the Marquee Theatre on Saturday. One of our favorite local bands the Keltic Cowboys are playing with the Bollox, and I'd love it if we could go out and support them at this major venue concert. Both the Keltic Cowboys and The Bollox are really fun bands to see if you haven't seen them yet. This will most definitely be a kilt event, as well as if you wear your kilt, you'll be invited to join us up on stage to give our toast before the "I won my wife in a pissing contest" song, if you're interested.

If you don't know our toast and would like to memorize it so that you can join us on stage here it is.

When we drink, we get drunk.

When we get drunk, we pass out.

When we pass out, we commit no sins.

When we commit no sins, we go to heaven.

So Let's all get drunk and go to heaven!

It would also help if you know how the song goes, because we can stay up on stage and help them with various parts of the song as it goes. The song is on their first album, and can be heard here.

The Keltic Cowboys, Arizona 's premier Irish Rock Band, has been entertaining the beer drinking, live music loving masses for over a decade. The group is fronted by founding member Frank Mackey, who not only pens the songs, but plays multiple instruments including the Highland Pipes, Banjo, Mandolin and Accordion. The five piece band also includes Patrick Flanagan on lead guitar, Paddy Broderick on Bass, Chase Maupin on Drums and Laura Russ on fiddle. The Keltic Cowboys have enjoyed a successful career regularly playing the best of the valleys' live music venues and festivals, also opening for national acts such as Flogging Molly, Young Dubliners and The Specials. The Keltic Cowboys cd "Songs of Longing and Debauchery" has gained the band notoriety with the song "Kiss My Irish Ass" and their latest CD "Pay For Our Sins Tomorrow" is receiving high praise and rave reviews.
