| | | A formal evening for the Nor Cal Rabble!
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Nor Cal Rabble,
For those of us who like to gather in good company
For those of us who like to dress up to the nines in highland attire
A dinner and ball event is coming
Gene McKracken, our host at the Clan McNaughton tent, has invited us to the 146th annual Saint Andrews Society of San Francisco Banquet and Ball
The date: Saturday November 28th (just a couple of days after Thanksgiving)
The time: 6:00 to 11:00
The cost: $110.00
The evening includes a Reception, Dinner and Dancing, the Dunvegan Pipe Band, Scottish Fiddlers, Scottish Dancers, and...
An Address to the Haggis!
The attire is Formal, Highland Dress, or Evening Attire
Here is the flyer http://www.saintandrewssociety-sf.or..._2009_Ball.pdf
We can reserve a table with 8-10 people
The F-H.C.A.G. and I would love to go if we can get a group together to enjoy a formal kilted evening out (that we can sit back and enjoy)
It would also be a great way to repay Gene and Ruth for their kindness to us for these last few years
Anyone interested?
Cheers
Jamie

I'm afraid that's a bit stiff for my budget, and I'd be going solo, anyway....no dice.

We will be there! Except that I don't have the day off yet. So, we may be a bit late. But, we'll be there.
Be well,
Star and Jamie

| | | Need an Argyll jacket for Burns day!
Jamie,
Two things: I'm a USA citizen of Scottish descent, and would be interested in joining your St Andrew's Society. Can you send me info on the group and on joining?
Second, I'm desperately searching for a size 44 Regular Argyll Jacket for Burns night, and hopefully a 5 button vest, both in black. Know where I can rent or borrow one, or buy someone's older but wearable jacket?
Thanks,
William 42
