| | going to be in SF 29 Jan to 1 Feb
Hi Rabble,
Greetings from Canada! My beautiful girlfriend and I will be in San Francisco from Jan 29 to Feb 1. Any good places that we should not miss? Anyone up for a drink? My girlfriend does not want me to wear my kilt .....a good idea or not?
Thanks in advance for the advice.
Cheers!
Paul

I'm not from SF and won't be there, but I know there's supposed to be a great beer fest going on. Check out THIS link.

Eddie Rickenbacker's is a favored haunt for some of the local kilted rabble. I have been wanting to do a kilted excursion to the Bourbon & Branch (an exclusive speak easy) for some time now.
There are tons of great things to see and do. You should have a great time (kilted or not)!

Take the kilt and leave the girlfriend. Lots of girls in California, and a man in a kilt won't have trouble finding one . . . or several.
Just kidding.
But you should at least:
1. Ride a cable care
2. Visit the Top of the Mark (it was great in my parents' day of WWII, and it was still fine in 1998 when I visited.)
3. See both bridges, Golden Gate and Bay
4. Eat at Fisherman's Wharf
5. Drive down the twisty part of Lombard..
Have a nice trip.

Paul | Brilliant! I emailed my buddy that's in SF, but he can't make it. I'm a huge fan of the group putting on the beer fest -- thanks for supporting them. I brewed up a batch of stout Monday morning, rocking their t-shirt and my Utilikilt.

Thanks again.

So, maybe we will meet! I am disappointed that the brew fest is on Saturday, when I'll be working. What's wrong with drinking on Sundays?!
Be well,
