| | SF Whisky Tasting Weds. May 27th
Greetings All,
WalkerK and I were down at William Glen/The Whisky Shop making sure everything was ship shape, and discovered they are sponsoring another tasting at the end of the month. This time instead of being out at the Presidio, it will be at a restaurant near Union Square. Much more convenient in terms of public transit. We will be there (with kilts on 'natch) Details below. Quote:
A Whisky Tasting by CLASSIC MALTS / JOHNNIE WALKER / BUSHMILLS $45.00
Steve Beal is one of the world's 15 Master's of Whisky, he is also a writer and well known chef. Steve received the Spirits Ambassador to the World Award and is a Judge at Spirits Competitions.
The Whiskies being tasted are: Lagavulin Distillers Edition, Cragganmore Distillers Edition, Talisker Distillers Edition, Caol Ila 18 Year Old, Oban 18 Year Old Special Limited Edition, Glenkinchie 12 Year Old, Singleton 12 Year Old, Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Johnnie Walker 'Swing' and Bushmills '1608' Limited Edition

A weekday whisky tasting night is, unfortunately, not good for me. Why a public whisky tasting on a weekday? Are they crazy? |

Jake,
I looked at our calendar and The Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess is working late that Wednesday (and the day after).
I have been promised a day off however, and would love to travel up to the city in my convertible to get together with you and walkerk for lunch (and to admire the Tiffany lamps )
Cheers
Jamie

I almost forgot about the tasting. I will be there definately kilted. I will bring my adult daughter who would love to be in a room full of kilted gentlemen. Even if they're not gentlemen so long as they are in kilts.

Excellent, whoever gets there first should hold seats for the other (four total).
Best regards,
Jake

There's a great Scottish store at Union Square. You should probably drop by and visit, since you're in the neighborhood. It's below the Sutter-Stockton Garage, I think just east of Stockton. I'll try to find the name.

Jake,
Steve Beale is a very good friend of mine. He actually married my wife and I, and was a colleague for years. If you have the opportunity to attnd I highly suggest you do.
Cheers!
Brad

Ok, nevermind, I'm an idiot. The place I was thinking of is the Whisky Shop. Duh.
