He married your wife and you? I thought there were laws about that.

    Best regards,

Here's the flier. It's being placed here so we can remember on Thursday what we were drinking Wednesday night.

A few more photos of the evening.

On the way, we passed a window display with several of the numerous Mr. Peanut heads used over the years in the San Francisco musical revue Beach Blanket Babylon. (http://www.beachblanketbabylon.com) Besides Mr. Peanut, the show is famous for outrageously large and ornate hats. Here's a link to more about the display: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/...entry_id=39968

Arriving at the shop. Tartan stuff in the front; lots of whisky in the back.

This tasting was different from others as, besides whisky, sample materials were placed on each table: a small piece of cask wood and a slice of peat. Jake and flammable objects is not always a good idea.

Demolay1310 & daughter. Robert looked sharp in his jacket and waistcoat.

Monkey@Arms with the evening's presenter, Steve Beale. Jake is holding his glass above eye level - a special "Toast to the English" Steve told us about.

Finished up the evening with a stroll down the street to Eddie Rickenbacker's. Overall, a fine evening with friends.

Although, the young lady who accompanied me is certainly young enough to be my daughter, she is the friend of a friend I met through my Renaissance re-enactment guild.

My daughter was unable to attend due to personal matters.
