Wear your kilt to a State Park for Father's Day

Would anyone like to join me in showing support for our State Parks by visiting a park with me on Sunday, June 21st? I just got an e-mail from the California State Parks Foundation that says:

"What better way to celebrate Father's Day and the First Day of Summer than being in your favorite state park and showing Sacramento that state parks are important to you, your family and friends? Bring as many people out with you as you can to enjoy the park."

We'll take some pictures and send them in. They want us to wear green...I say green and kilts!

Sounds like a grand plan. I will check with the Mrs and see what is going on for Father's Day. Thanks for the heads up!

I am not in California but will try to hit a state park here in Massachusetts or Connecticut and do it kilted. Happy father's day in advance all!

I'll be in a National forest in AZ that day( taking the kiddlets camping for fathers day) so I'll make sure to bring my kilt and wear it!

A Little Update

The plan now is to go to Angel Island on Sunday. I expect we'll be catching the 12:00 ferry from Tiburon. The ferry is around $13- and it's only a ten minute trip.

Anyone want to meet us in Tiburon?

We'll be spending Father's Day with Jamie's folks, my mom and W2F, but maybe, just maybe, we can get the men kilted up and take a brief jaunt to Henry Cowell! Jamie in his green Stillwater, his dad in his Irish National and Richard in something green. Hmm...., we'll see!

Be well,

Star

Star, if you make it to the park take pictures and I'll let you know where we can post them. Gotta keep the pressure on Sacramento to keep our parks open!
