Dang, I wish I could go with you! I'm wearing my Albannach tartan kilt to a Burns supper next weekend. I can think of no tartan that is more fitting. Have fun at the show! Maybe I'll get lucky, and they'll come back to Colorado this year.

Hmmmm ... my wife and I had discussed Hoggetown and decided not to go, but that was in part because Albanach was playing at the Central Florida Highland Games, which we were going to. Well, between all the pipe band stuff, we got to see about ten minutes of them play, so we may have to reconsider.

Well, that pretty much blew chunks. Imagine, if you will, 39th St in Gainesville running east and west. Imagine getting off I-75 and going east on 39th street toward the Faire. Imagine getting within a block of the Faire and then inching along in traffic for 20+ minutes to get to the Faire entrance. Keep pressing your mind to imagine turning in the entrance and being directed to the left by police, then traveling down a little road right by the Faire to another police officer and being directed to the left again and then about 50 feet later popping back out on 39th St heading west.

We found our way to some alternate parking about 2 miles away, followed the signs, and then found ourselves in another traffic line stretching farther than we could see.

Imagine us then turning around and going back home.
