Tilted Kilt

Has anyone been to this sportsbar? The Lasses are one reason to go but also how's the food/atmosphere?

Have visited the original Tilted Kilt, a neighborhood dive bar in Las Vegas...no one there but us and the bartender. Only thing Scottish a few old travel posters.

Visited the Tilted Kilt in the Rio Las Vegas before it closed. It was loud. Food was more snacks - bar food and not that good. But in fairness only have tried a few things.

Since its a franchise deal now guess its pretty much something to check out one at a time. Some or all stores may have a little shop included. Got a Tilted Kilt t-shirt and leather jacket at the old store in the Rio.

The food is good, not great, just good. If a person is offended by Hooters, then they'll be offended by TK. The two I've been to, I seemed to receive above average service by the lasses working there most likely because I was kilted at the time.

Went to the TK in Birmingham AL with my wife, son, daughter-in-law, 10 year old grandson, and 2 year old granddaughter at lunch time. The family enjoyed the food and we saw nothing that embarassed us. The noise level was such that we could have a normal conversation; not possible in some other "sports bars". Some folks may think there was too much skin shown but thats their problem. I would certainly reccomend it.

great fun

Went for the first time on St Pats w/wife in full kilts and loved the food in Woodridge Il. Yes, it was noisy with lots of guys, but it was St Pats. Got a WOW from one of the girls and and customer coming in while I was leaving said you have a great out fit. Made my day.
There was a few kids in there.

If you decide to go to the one Downtown, let me know and I might join you. I haven't been but my buddy who manages the comic book store has (no...he doesn't look like the comic book store guy on The Simpsons!) and he just shrugs his shoulders when asked, "how was it?". In the interest of research, I might be interested in doing a kilted foray into the place. Academic curiosity only! Waitresses dressed like naughty Scottish schoolgirls is sort of unsettling...

Best

Looks like the chain is growing well of late. Maybe someone should approach their corporate about being an X Marks sponsor...Official Restaurant/Bar of X Marks. I'm sure the fees here would be chump change to them and their locations would have a steady stream of kilted patrons to validate their name and add atmosphere and ambiance....could be a win-win deal. If I remember correctly corporate is in, or near, Chandler,Arizona

IIRC Brewboy went to the one in downtown Chicago when it first opened and I don't think he was impressed.
