You know my answer regarding the hose! Green.

Red flashes, black shoes ( highly polished ).

Have a good time! Sorry I won't be there.

What he said! As the husband of a Scott lass, I know that would be her exact choice. In fact, she puts those colors with that tartan often.

OK, so I went with the green hose and red flashes, but stuck with the ghillie's simply because I need the black dress shoes for church in the morning. (Feb 7, 2010 is Scout Sunday - wearing my uniform to church with the rest of the troop. Feb 8 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts of America.)

Sorry, I didn't take any pics 'cause I don't have a digital camera, camera phone, or anything of the like. (Yes, I'm a luddite in some respects.)

Glad you made it and represented all us who had to no-show for various reasons (it was my son's birthday). In this case we will suspend the "no pictures--didn't happen rule". Thanks for making the showing for those who could not, and I hope you had a grand time.

It was fun - it was my first Burns Supper.

I got to be (by luck of the 'draw' - a sticker on the bottom of my butter dish) the table whisky steward. I had to be sure everyone at my table had a little shot (like 1/4 volume of a standard shot) of either Laphroaig or apple juice (for the underage or abstemious) for each formal toast that was made. The performance of the Celtic strings (my purpose for being there) was well-received, and I think we did fairly well.

I even managed to score one of the door prizes: a nice bottle of Johnnie Walker Red Label.
