Kirkin' of the Tartans -- Springfield, MO
The Scottish St. Andrew's Society of Springfield will hold its annual Kirkin' of the Tartans service on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 7.00 pm.
There will be piping and other traditional Scottish music & hymns, kilts, tartan and traditional prayers celebrating the Scottish roots of the Presbyterian Church and the contributions of the Scottish people to America. All are welcome to attend, regardless of heritage or denomination. Following the service there will be a reception in the fellowship hall.
Business/church dress is suggested for the gents (day wear for those with Highland attire) and all are encourage to wear their tartan.
