| | | North Jersey Kilt Night?
I just wanted to see who all would be interested in starting a Kilt Night in Northern Jersey. I think I have the perfect place for one, but I want to see if there is interest.

I'd be interested. I'm right on the border.

Not really sure of the when. I just want to get a feel for possible interest. There is a great Irish pub in Clifton, Shannon Rose. they have lots of good beer on tap, and a nice scotch selection. They also have great food, with some standard, and some not so standard irish fare. Also, I have a possible in with the owner to kind of make it a set thing, if we have enough interest.

Had you considered holding it in Kearney, home of one of the best Scottish purveyors in the area?

Clifton is about 10 minutes from Kearny. The parking is plentiful, and the bar is great. Also, everyone goes to Kearny, and I feel it is a bit over done and over rated. Also, there is much easier access from all major highways to Clifton.

I had an idea that it might be nice to have a kilt night in north jersey, since I have not seen it done. If you like Kearny, than by all means, go there.
Judging from the limited response to this thread, I don't think there is much interest. So, I don't think Kearny has to fear the loss of Scottish cultural tourism just yet.
