Pre-parade brunch for 2011 NYC Tartan Week parade

Hey, folks, I've been away from the site for a very long time, due to the circumstances in my life.

But Tartan Week is a coming!

Is there any interest in meeting for lunch/brunch prior to the Tartan Week parade? If so, step up and make your voice heard.

but may wander down to Balboa Park for the San Diego festivities.

The Tartan Day Parade is on Saturday, April 9th, 2011

The place where we have met the last few years is:

The Playwright Tavern
202 West 49th Street
(between 7th Avenue and Broadway)

It is just a block from the parade route and they have always been cooperative. Plus the food is good and reasonably priced.

The parade starts at 2:00, so I suggest meeting about 11:30.

We're coming to the parade for sure. I see that there is a Kirkin of the Tartan at the First Presbyterian Church at 10:30. Has anyone been to that who can advise what it's like? I'd imagine it might be difficult to get from there to the brunch on time.
