| | | Rochester Area people sound-off
I have noticed lately there seems to be a lot more people popping up from the Rochester/Finger Lakes area and thought that maybe we could post up and kind of get a list of who's in the area and where. Ultimately I'd like to plan a Xmarks Meet-up/Kilt Night as well.
I'll start, I live East of Rochester in Palmyra, NY and I work in ER. I typically go to either the Tap & Mallet on Gregory Street in the city or to Flaherty's Three Flags in Macedon.

Not exactly in the Rochester area, but up the road a bit in Grand Island.
Although, once you factor in crossing the Bridge, clearing Canadian Customs, and driving to the Kilt Night ... Rochester may be the same driving time for me as the SOKS Kilt Nights are.

Stationed at Fort Drum currently, but my dad lives on Main Street in Walworth and my in-laws live in Ontario right up near Lake Road. Would love to do a kilt night on some weekend.

| | | Fairport/Canandaigua weighs in
I live in Fairport, work in Canandaigua, have been seen kilted at the Old Toad for Third Thursday Club, when Rochester becomes Scotchester! I'd love to hear from more XMarks'ers as we are considering trying to hold a Festival in the area in June and more hands on deck would help!
If you enjoy the heritage activities, please consider joining the Scottish Heritage Society. It is a very inclusive group and we welcome your input!

I live just west of Rochester in the town of Greece. Like Joe, I can be seen in kilt at The Old Toad in Rochester every third thursday of the month for scotch tasting. I am also a member of the Rochester Scottish Heritage society and we travel to the games in Liverpool, Amherst and Olcott throughout the summer as well as host our own events.

Late to reply, I'm in the Culver/Merchants triangle of Rochester. I've just heard about the local Heritage Society after showing up to a church event at my wife's church kilted. I'll have to check out some of the local events.

Not Rochester but heck I've had kilt nights in Franklin NC so a drive to Rochester would be a cake walk.

I'm in the greater Rochester area. I don't need a place or an occasion to wear the kilt. So, y'know, I'm up for anything.

I'm up here in Irondequoit and work in the city. Have been to the Old Toad kilted, but not often. Was wondering if they did a kiltie night. |
