    Molly MacPherson's Scottish Pub

    Hey all,

A new Scottish pub & grill just opened in Charlotte. It appears to be one in a very short chain originally out of Georgia.
Has anyone tried this place yet or any of their sister pubs in Savannah or Richmond Hill, Georgia?

Both their pubs here, the original in the Historic District and the second location in Richmond Hill, are first rate. Great folks, great service with all the usual libations on hand and, IMHO, their pub food is definitely a cut above the usual.

I completely agree with KFCarter on this one.

The owners and the management of the Charlotte, NC pub are top-notch! The Richmond Hill pub is closest to us, but we enjoy the downtown Savannah pub just as much. We're anxious to make the trip up to Charlotte, not only to see the area, but to stop in at the pub as well.

    Enjoy!

    Hey all,

My wife and I dropped into there on Monday and were most pleasantly surprised. Their food was fantastic. We had the Scottish Combo as a starter (Scotch egg, meat pie, and onion rings) and everything on it was cooked perfectly. My wife had bangers and mash and I had the shepherd's pie and those were also excellent. The only bad part was that some rotten potato wound up in the mash but that happens sometimes. All in all, I think we have found a new place to add to our list of favorites.
It is a shame that the Scottish Claymores do not exist anymore, that would be a great place to watch the games.
