    Western NC Celtic Festival

Second year for this great event, and the music line-up looks great. All you folks within a day's drive of Asheville should definitely consider coming.

It's a shame they chose the same weekend to do this as our Taste of Scotland festival, which has been going on for 14 years. It would have been a good event to attend.

Indeed, Matt, it is a shame.

The Celtic festival is a two-day event, so folks could go to Franklin for the "Taste" and then spend Sunday at the Celtic Festival. A double header might be an attractive option for some folks.

Sounds like a great idea, Bill! Definitely do it in the order you described, as the big day in Franklin is Saturday.

I thought about trying to go to both festivals, but the WNC Festival is on FRIDAY & Saturday, not Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is the big day for both festivals.

It is a shame. I've wanted to attend the Franklin event, but this year it is WNC to hear Albannach!
