Tennessee Renaissance Festival

Hello all!
Notwithstanding the fact that kilts have nothing to do with the Renaissance period, I was wondering if there was anyone who planned on going to the Ren Fest, kilted or not? It is every weekend in May and I've always had a blast any time I've gone! The website is tnrenfest.com. Perhaps a few of us could meet there and share a round at the pub! Sound off, kilties! You game??

Because of new working conditions (a fantasticly better job) I am pretty much out of the fair & fest circuit for several more months. I hope to at least run my booth here in Memphis in September. I'll follow the link & sign up though. I want to be back in the swing next year.

TN Ren

Because our store The Celtic Cup Coffee House has only been opened since March 27th we are not able to attend this year...
So we decided to make May 17th Renaissance Saturday at The Celtic Cup Coffee House. So if your in the Tullahoma, TN area stop in on North Anderson Street and tip a cup of brew (coffee or tea) and celebrate in an old world atmosphere with us.
We celebrated our son's 13th birthday at the TN Ren Fest. We took a large hoard each year following in celebration up until he was 18. Now this year we will celebrate his 19th ( one day before) at The Celtic Cup Coffee House.

I will not be attending, I stopped attending that function about 3 years ago. I feel that their admission prices are WAY too high and see no intention of them to lower them anytime soon, so they will be having a blast without me. Still looking at other functions though.

Yeah, the admission IS quite steep... I do have fun though! Especially when I am able to be there all day... Last time I got there for the last two hours of the day.... Talk about feeling swindled.... :-/

I keep hearing about the fair, and I'm never in that part of the state when it happens. I'm working in Nashville this summer, so depending on when I can get settled I may just swing by to give a looksee. Kilted if so.

I would love to be there, Tennessee is my all time favorite state. I go to the Erwin area several times a year when I can to ride my motorcycle in the mountains. And in Gatlinburg we have our National Santa Convention during St Patricks Day, I always have a grand time there. The fair sounds like it would be a fun time for all.
