Oh yay, another crunluath a mach (sarcastic tone attached). Lol. I'm not a fan of "a mach" variations. I'm not familiar w/ The MacIntyres Salute, but I'll check it out. Do you if a recording exists? I'm too familiar w/ High Road to Gairloch, but didn't know it was connected with the MacIntyres. That's great stuff.
Added later...I found the settings for the piobaireachd. Interestingly, MacKay and Glen's settings do not have the "a mach" variation. Only Kilberry shows the a mach. The info says it was written as a salute to the Menzie chief from the MacIntyre piper. I'll have to learn this. I like the ground, it reminds me of The Groat sort of.
