DFW Kilters - June Gathering

The May Gathering of the DFW Kilters met last night. It went KK for the first gathering, but we can not sit on our success for long. We need to plan for the June DFW Kilting. If we go by the votes and plans, it is either North Midcities or South Midcites. We still need a 'host' for these to places and they can decide where they want to have the gathering. We have only two weekends in June to do this - June 14th and 28th. The other two are full - June 5-7th (North Texas Highland Games) & June 19-21 (Father's Day).

Who wants to 'host' the Midcities North and Midcites South??
Which of these do we want to do first - North or South??

Come on guys and gals! Hawk's been working hard to get this going, but we need locals to help keep it running.

I'll vote for the 3rd weekend - North mid-cities.

Edit - I meant to say the 28th. I'm good for the 14th as well though.

Hey, Hawk... does that sound like a volunteer to host/coordinate it?

I'm game - provided I have adequate information to do so.

Keep in mind that I'm a minor and dealing with a through and through pub may not be easily accomplished by me. I don't know first-hand though.

1st off, can you get into a pub up there?

2nd, will they let you in the pub to stay?

Other than that, I think you can do it if they will let you in.

I don't think anybody would question me. I don't LOOK like a minor. As long as I don't try and buy some of the nicer beverages and stick to Shirley Temples, I don't think there would be an issue.

Just depends on the locale I suppose.

Some suggestions from searches. I'll do some more research if any of these locations pull some interest.

Smitys Irish Pub‎
5224 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX‎

Odwyers Irish Pub‎
13500 Trinity Blvd, Euless, TX‎

Rockfish Seafood Grill‎ (was listed as an Irish Pub..?)
3785 S Cooper St, Arlington, TX

Slatteryrand's Irish Pub‎
2742 N Oconnor Rd, Irving, TX‎

Terrace Lounge
4150 N Macarthur Blvd, Irving, TX‎

J. Gilligan's (I've been told KOBB meets here sometimes.)
400 East Abram, Arlington, TX

Or.... If you're wanting to come into town.

Paddy Reds Irish Pub‎
903 Throckmorton St, Fort Worth, TX

Flynns Irish Pub‎
3601 Williams Rd, Fort Worth, TX

Baker St Pub & Grill‎
6333 Camp Bowie Blvd, Fort Worth, TX

There's a lot of them near the historic/museum districts in Ft Worth.

Keep me posted and I'll see what I can do.

The weekend of the 14th would work for me as my wife is throwing a party on the 27th for my big 5-0! (Why do I feel 25?)
