I am just getting back into X-Marks after a long sabatical (life situations). It is good to be back. This is the first thread I've found and I am VERY interested in getting the THR going. I live in east Texas (Longview). I don't play the drums or the pipes. I do have plans to learn the pipes (I heard my Great Grandad play as a kid). I do have some marching experience from school band (a LONG time ago) and my experience as part of the Queens Guard & Honor Guard for Queen Mary of Scotland at the Scarborough Rennaisance Faire in Texas.

I wear the Black Watch because they support our paintball team. My family comes from Clan Scott - so I am partial to the red.

My wife and I will be in Scotland Aug 28 - Sept 6. I would like to get involved so let me know what I need to do.

So I have been watching this since I got back from Scotland . . . any updates? I am still very interested in the THR. I've got marching experience and I just purchased a practice chanter for the pipes. Also, while in Scotland I attended the Military Tattoo in Edinburgh - great experience - and am inspired by it.
