utah meetup - X Marks the Scot

Since our kilt night in Layton last weekend fell through, may I suggest that we all meet at the Utah Scottish Association Highland Games & Festival that is taking place in Lehi on June 12th and 13th?

Wear a dandelion so we can identify each other as Xmarkers!

I will be there on June 13. Sorry, that was my fault it fell through. I got a nasty cold and ear infection. I am still trying to get over that. I will try and remember the dandy lion part.

No, it's not your fault. Don't worry about it, stuff happens.

We ended up getting a lot of things done on my late mother and father-in-law's houses and I got to meet a friend's fiance who is interested in taking one of the dogs we inherited (hallelujah!), so not being in Layton worked out great for us.

Anyway, a Games and Festival will allow more freedom of movement for people with different interests to do what they want, so there's a better potential turnout.

Maybe we can recruit more X Markers!

The 13th is a Saturday, right? We'll probably be there then too.

And please, will you guys in Utah let me know if you hear any additional info that isn't on the website?

I'm in Southern Wyoming so I won't be hearing about it on the radio.

I may be there, not sure yet. I will be in a USAK casual American Heritage if I get there, and will look for dandelions

Look for Santa Claus in a BSA Venture shirt and McLaren kilt.
Lets pick a place and time to meet each other like 12:00 at the Flag pole. (Is there a flag pole?)

There's a gate. It opens at 9 AM on Saturday. Anyone care to meet then?

And maybe meet again at noon for those that can't get there at 9?

We're driving from Wyoming so we might not make it in the morning.

The most distinguishing things about us is that my 13 month old daughter will probably be the only baby wearing a balmoral hat.

And I'll be wearing a black corset over my kilt.

I am going to be mostly at the Clan Stewart tent. My family is pretty heavily involved in the clan. I will try and find a dandelion. I'll be there all day friday, saturday and setting up on Thursday. My little boy will wear a royal stewart kilt, my father is in stewart old sett and I am in Stewart hunting.
