| | | Anyone near Norfolk 9/23 - 9/26?
I'll be in Norfolk, VA for a conference from Wednesday night, 9/23 - Saturday 9/26 and was wondering if there are any XMarkers in the neighborhood. I wouldn't be averse to squeezing in some pub time in and around my conference schedule!

I'm just across the Elizabeth River in Portsmouth. Where will you be staying?

I'm in meetings and seminars all day, usually until dinner time. We're on our own from 6 pm or so for dinner and then there are artist "showcases" from 7:30 on into the evening, although on either Thursday or Friday given I can give the showcases a miss (they can be pretty grim, actually).

I should be able to make Thur or Fri. I'm not sure what bars are in your immediate area, however a short ferry ride across the Elizabeth River will takeyou to Olde Towne, Portsmouth which has a cluster of bars and restaurants a short walk from the landing.

I've now got a dinner appt. on Thursday, but nothing after 7-ish and Friday evening currently has nothing on it.
