| | | Well, this is new.. Calling all WACKOS!
Ok, since the mods have changed things up a bit concerning the kilt night part of the forum (thank you mods, it's a grand change, actually), I'll reiterate my earlier request:
Let's get a kilt night together for next weekend, March 27th (Fri) or 28th (Sat).
Who's in? Who's around? Too soon? Suggest another weekend!
As an added bonus; it's Friday, and if any of you fine kilted blokes and your fair lasses want to get together tonight or tomorrow evening, let me know, I'm down for the spontaneous pub outing.
So, what say ye? 28th? Evening? What pub?

You know, I am stuck in a bit of no-man's land. About 2 hours south of you and an hour north of the portland area. It is a bit far for a spontaneous kilt night, but I would love to try and meet up with some of the guys and gals up north! Of course I have to convince my lovely wife how much fun it would be!

I would likely be in for a kilt next next weekend. This weekend won't work for me though.

Tartan Day is the 28th at the Puyallup fair grounds, Don & I will be there in the Lamont/Moore table 10 AM till 5 PM http://www.tartanday-wa.org/Festival-2009.html
I suggest if you are going to make this event that we gather as a group at 1 PM. This event is inside so it is a good highland event for this early in the year, they had some good music last year.
I would like to suggest that we pick a night for a regular kilt night something like the 3rd Sat of every month. We then have people take charge of the planing for the event and rotate it around. I hear some votes for eastside... a eastside person then would claim a date in the future and make the plans. I will start a poll in for Wackos to vote for best night to gather.
We can still have special event that pop up, like Streetcar has an annual kilt night at his improv group. I think that would be great fun.

Thanks,

I forgot about the Puyallup stuff happening next weekend.
At the earliest, let's now shoot for the weekend following that. After that, we'll start our regular regiment.
Sound good?

Won't be able to go to the tartan day celebration, since I'll be leaving here early that day for a trip to Monmouth, Oregon. Helping a friend down there tear apart his parts car, before it goes to the Volvo dealer in the sky. I'll be kilted on the drive down, tho.
