I went to Dublin Crossing for dinner tonight and found out that Dreadnought, a Vancouver Celtic Punk band, will be playing at Dublin Crossing this weekend. We don't have any plan this weekend and we are thinking about checking this band out. The band will play from 10pm to 1am and we will probably be there around 8.

Friend turned me on to them a couple of years ago, and I was there for their 1st CD release party at The Bourbon. Will be there to pick up their second disc (finally) on Saturday.

Part Irish folk, part sea shanty, part punk. Great fun, talented lot. Singer is formerly of the Ontario-based Siobhan. When he came west, he formed The Dreadnoughts. If you like Irish-punk infused pirate music, they're the band for you!
