    Free pint!

Now that I have your attention, Doolin's Kilts Night is fast approaching. as the first Thursday of the month, December the 2nd, is just one week away so here I am trying to drum up support for a gathering. Perhaps I will have the opportunity to reacquaint myself with some of you and even meet new X-Marks members on that day.

I have set the night aside weeks ago and even turned down work for the night and will definitely be in attendance. Unless I'm dead before then. If I'm dead, I won't be there otherwise, certainly. I like a free pint of Guinness myself. How about you?

Count me in - am bringing a plus 1. Kilt nights are a hoot. The Wharf Rats will be back from their Canadian tour. Free beer, great music, good company - always a good time.

I hate to go a bit frugal on you, I mean, I do know that it IS a free pint of Guinness after all, but I'm terribly afraid that the Missus and I will NOT be making the drive from South Carolina to Brittish Columbia despite her protests! Perhaps if I post pictures of us to you that you could print off, would that maybe get you an additional two free pints?
Please be safe on Kilt night - I'd hate to hear about automobile accidents where the driver was blinded by the flash of a kilted (and very white) thigh!

A great time was had by all!

On the return trip home I was asked 'the question' by a pair of lovely young twenty somethings who were clearly inebriated. I turned it right back on them saying, "Why what are you wearing"? They changed the subject to my moustache. They got back around to the kilt pretty quickly though, leaving the subject of my underwear aside and were suitably impressed to discover that I made it myself.

Bruce. I'm looking forward to introducing you and Dee to my wife next Burns' Day night.
