A handful of nights away - X Marks the Scot

We are down to a handful of nights away from the epic event. Kilts to packed, sporrans to be dusted off. Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

I might be needing a little more of a head start during the event as I just underwent surgery a few days ago and am moving a might bit slow.

It is very exciting and I'm so looking forward to heading North Friday morning.

I'm not sure if I will be making cocktails in Mikey and Shelley's hotel room (it sounds like it is going to be quite crowded!

) I guess it will depend on Steve, Bobbie and what the past and present members of the Mod Squad decide to do before dinner (we do need to plot and scheme right?

)

I do know how much I am looking forward to spending time with all you great people.

we hit the raod tomorrow afternoon and barring any mishaps along the way should be landing in Victoria Thurs around tea time! If there's anyone else at the hotel Thurs drop us a line and we'll have a tea.

She of Clan Comyn and I will be blazing in from Swartz Bay with kilt a-flappin'. Depending on time, she may have to travel all done up, as time may not permit stopping to change if we're to make the 6:30 event at the shop.

UPDATE

Firstly, the official "torch passing" will be taking place at the Royal Scot hotel, not the Freedom Kilts shop.

Second, in order to allow more time for the group to gather, dinner has been moved back to 7:00PM.

Thirdly, Jamie, if you are going to be witness to this great event, you WILL be at the hotel for cocktails.

Fourthly, Old Hippie, see firstly.
