| | | High Tea at the Empress in Victoria on the 24th Oct.
I thought since such a large contingent of kilties will be in town why not invade the Empress on Saturday for a nice tea. The family and I are planning on being there anyway but if people would like to join us let me know and I'll look into reserving seating.
cheers

I believe she would dearly love tea at the Empress, as we didn't take advantage of it on our last visit.
We did hit their curry bar and found that most congenial. Staff and guests alike were not sure what to make of the kilted guy posing in front of the fireplace under the tiger skin, though...
So yes: expression of sincere interest for two, please.

Well I've got seats booked for 16 pers with 9 already acounted for on Oct 24 at 13:30 hours. If more than 16 are interested it shouldn't be too hard to increase seating but it might be an idea for people to call in and reserve seats themselves.
Cheers

I'm seriously jealous that I'll be missing all the Victoria events next month.
Have fun all!

Sadly, I have to be ferrying my way back to the mainland by then. For those not aware, High Tea is $54 and Royal Tea just shy of $70. Per person. If you have not been in the Empress before, be sure to poke your head into the Bengal Room -- that's where the tiger is -- and check out the super old ceiling fans straight out of the era of the Raj

Haven't had a decent tea since the Brown Palace in Denver, wish we could join you.

Oh good heavens, Standard, the Brown cannot be compared with the Empress tea lobby. The latter's a bit of empire, the former's just a late mimic | | | | X Marks Advertisers | | For Quality Scottish Made Products at Affordable Prices | | | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
