| | | North Berwick and Dumfries 8th & 9th August
There are Highland Games in southern Scotland on Saturday and Sunday of this weekend.
North Berwick Highland Games, Saturday 8th August, 10am till 6pm featuring international pipe band competition, solo piping, heavies, highland dancing etc. then the next day the Border Gathering at Park Farm, New Abbey Road, Dumfries, Sunday 9th August featuring the full range of pipe bands, heavies, highland dancers etc and a live performance by the RED HOT CHILLI PIPERS. Our own Pour1Malt is on the organising committee for this one. I hope to be able to attend both events and to bring back some pictures to upload to xmarks. Anybody else going?

Man Alex, I hate missing events in your area. If only I could be there. I hope to be in Dumfries for Burns Night again in 2010 if the economy and my job at least hold their own.
Please post many pics and hope to see you this winter.

Had planned to be in Dumfries for the weekend but my work decided, without consultation, that I'd be better off on a course in Montrose so I had to cancel.
