Touring Italy in a Kilt

Does anyone have any experience with traveling in Italy in a kilt? Just made our hotel reservations for Turin & Milan, for later this month.
Gives new meaning to the term "al fresco"
Cheers, ColMac

I assume that you've seen the posts of the Italian member of the forum. He might be a good resource.

Ancienne Alliance and Colin were in Italy recently...

A search of the forum for "Italy" has 11 pages of hits...some may be useful.

What a great trip.

My first thoughts were to take heed of Alex's misadventures with pickpockets in Spain...no aspersions on Italy...just pickpockets...apparently they're well versed in thieving from sporrans.

A kilt will likely attract pickpocket's attention too and perhaps be a fun break in their routine.

Yep ! we only live an hour away from the border. We go there all the time, wife children and all ... kilted of course.

Milano and Torino are in the North : you shouldn't have any problem at all with a traditional highland look. Modern solid colour kilts I dunno.

Best,

Robert
