Not sure sub-forums are the way to go. I'm happy with international.

Exactly my thought. Those sub-forums are dividing us and that's not what we need.

No, I was not there. I found out for this event post-festum.This year? maybe, but depends on to many things. We'll see. In case of going there I would be very happy to meet some other members of this forum.

    Hello All,

I think the idea of these sub-fora is to advertise local events to locals. If we were trying to get a kilt night going in (for sake of argument) Birmingham, we might be able to tempt the members from Scotland and those from the West-Country and Kent. If it was going to be a really special event the members from Continental Europe might be tempted, but there is really no way that XMarks members from California or Florida would attend unless they happened to be on holiday here. Likewise there is nothing to stop us from perusing the other sub-fora and inviting ourselves to an event that is happening somewhere else in the world.

    Regards

    Chas

I do think it's a bit odd that there isn't a UK forum, as opposed to just the Euro one.

Still, us Scots are much more European-minded than those folks in the province called Sassen!

Luckily, living in the border area, I can nip to places like Hawick and Selkirk for my tartan fix!
