What's the badge on the cantle?

This is a batch of sporrans that were going to be MoD sporrans for the RRS, but were later nixed in favor of horse hair. The cantle is the old style Cross of St.Andrews with the Saint himself, which was a carry over from the 42nd's cantle.

Hey Guys-
This pic was sent to me by a sporran maker friend of mine in Scotland who won a contract to make them for the RRS, and then were kindly told that the design was not going to be in use. I think all the sporrans were sold off on eBay some time ago if I understand correctly. These were definitely full pouchers. I just thought you'd like to see a fleet of sporrans in the stages of being prepared.

SIDE NOTE: I personally do not like working with this kind of goat hair pelt. I literally have to wear a respirator when I do because of the fine hairs that lilt of and float in the atmosphere ending up in wither my nose, or throat. Sneezing fits (That can last up to 10 minutes), or hacking luges for about the same amount of time are symptoms if you don't!

Oh, and yes-They are horse hair tassels
