    Kilt hose pattern

    Hi

Can anyone point me in the direction of a knitting pattern for kilt hose.

I am looking for a pattern that can be knitted on 2 needles only, not circular or 4 needles.

I do lots of knitting and have made lots of Aran style jumpers and jackets but I always tuck my right needle under my arm and try as I might I can't quit the habit.

    Thanks in advance.

I just k5 p5 a flat scarf like piece and then sew it into a tube and sew the toe end closed. But if you want summat more complex you can try "country weekender socks" kilt hose but just make them flat

I think if you do a search, someone just posted a link for knitting patterns for sock within the last couple of months.

Have you signed up at Ravelry.com? It's THE place for knitting and you'll literally find 1000s of knitting patterns and most likely a flat pattern.

I gotta know. If you knitted with short sticks, would that break your habit? I've seen 4" and 5" dpns. I've got 6" and think they're too long.

    Hi

Thanks for replies, I am a member of Ravelry but no luck. I have tried short needles but I am so used to knitting with my needle under my arm I can't seem to get a rhythm going, I normally use extra long needles as well just to make it worse.

I will keep looking, I will also try smaller needles and maybe I could adapt a pattern.
