Did you notice the part where he interweaves two colors of lace around the out curve of the front of the sporran?

I watched the film about 15 times and decided to try it myself.
After a couple of nights working on scrap leather on the spacing of the holes I began to get it right.

Here is a picture of how it came out on a sporran for Alex Cunningham.
I have done two others and ruined a couple of front pieces along the way.
It definitely is not as easy as he makes it look!

One of these days I'll try some of the other things he shows.

thanks i was looking for ideas on my new sporran that i'm working mien is a bit more dress tho i'm not using any fur as i have vary strong allergic reactions to bunny and other vary fin fluffy pelts
i am not vary Happy with what passes for dress thees days they all look to similar with there round pocket book type closures not really vary historical so my sporran is mad in heavy black leather with sterling silver tassels and chains the belt is also silver with leather belting think Coach Co type of style but with a bit more embellishments then that Co. would normally do on there hand bags that is why i was so exited to fined that clip as his is made almost exactly like mine in principal any way i really loved his tassel style vary compact doesn't looks so new as the ones with the fringed edges

what a wonderful example of leather craft you have created here i think your efforts where will rewarded with the stunning results thank you so vary much for sharing and helping me to know that i'm on the right track with my simpler and more elegant approach not that the more casual ones are bad i simply mean for my taste and what i want to ware on my person

All you need is:

• A bunch of tools, some I've never seen before.
• A rock-steady hand
• A good supply of leather
• A life-time of experience

Jeremy looks over that list, trying to see if he has any of those...
