    Haven't tried either way but I'd consider cutting along a straightedge with an Olfa type rotary cutter...seems like ripping wouldn't work out very well.

    Say, how did that grey Stewart tartan work out for you? I got stalled in my own project and haven't found the time to pick it back up. Were you able to make anything out of it?
