    where to buy leather

hey folks i was looking into possibly starting to make some things out of leather. Sporrans, vest, bracers etc.. but none of my local hobby shops seem to have real leather only pleather (or similar cheapo stuff) that doesnt look like it would hold up to what im looking to do with it. so im wondering if any one here knows of a good online source or store chain that sells decent working leather?

Fire up your favorite search engine, and search "Tandy Leather". That should do for a start.

Look for a Tandy Leather Factory in your area. I'll bet Portland is the closest one to you. But you should be able to order leather from them. It's not top-quality leather by any means, but it's better than pleather.

Oregon Leather in Portland is a great source for leather. I have bought most of mine there and the prices are reasonable. I hope this helps

I've been satisfied with the price and quality of the leather I've bought from www.theleatherguy.org
