Need some help from our rather large knowledge base

My nephew found this knife in a thrift store. It is obviously hand made, and of very high quality. The detail is excellent, and the sheath is made from cherry wood (and rather fragrant, I might add!) If anyone can help us to identify it, we would be most appreciative.

I know it's not Scottish, more likely Cambodian, but there is no other online resource that I have found with as comprehensive a knowledge base as this community, and my own limited research has turned up nothing even similar to this. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer up!

Since it says Angkor on it, and it has engravings of Angkor Quat (Kaqt) it is obviously either from, or dealing with Cambodia. My guess is that it is tourist piece, sold as a sovenier at the temple.
