Well, whoever he is, his outfit doesn't in any way qualify as "historical"....

I was sure not, I was just suprised that the castle staff allow apparently just anyone to run around the castle, claymore in hand.

On the contrary, I think he is a tourist-judging by his lack of knowledge with the wearing of correct Highland dress-be it historical costume, or traditional day attire. Chap looks ridiculous.

Upon closer look, I think someone else is actually holding the claymore...

Never the less, he has an interesting look about him...

Maybe there is a bigger back story to this photo...

It's definitely an odd amalgamation of different styles of dress and accoutrements.

I thought we were all supposed to be careful not to make fun of people who couldn't defend themselves?

Well I happen know who's hand is on the claymore and I am pretty sure she doesn't own one. And since he is the one with the pistol in his belt and the only one thus attired in the photo and since I am sure of the identities of the others in the photo, I can pretty safely say he not of the group and the sword is his.

So, are you going to share who it is, since you seem to know...
